It has been estimated that there are over 132 million orphans in the world. This doesn't include those countless children who may have a living parent or relative, but are still homeless, living on the streets with not enough food to eat or a safe place to sleep at night. Over 1 million children are kidnapped every year and sold into sexual slavery. In India alone there are over 120,000 children who sleep on the streets, victims of physical, verbal and sexual abuse. Sunshine Kids International, under the umbrella of Sunshine Ministries, is making a difference in the lives of those very children who so desperately need our help. We have partnered with St. Catherine’s of Siena Home and School for Destitute Children because we believe in their commitment to change the lives of these children, through holistic therapy, higher education and job placement so that they can someday make a better India! In 2005 a sponsorship and partnership programs were developed to connect kids in need with people who care.
